Frequently Asked Questions

Who created i-RFP Inc?

i-RFP was founded by a veteran of the litigation support industry who realized that the connective power of the Internet could eliminate inefficiencies and decrease costs for legal professionals for their litigation support request for proposal (RFP) process. Our innovations are fueled by legal professionals, whose feedback we constantly seek and implement.

Who are ideal i-RFP clients?

Ideal clients consist of litigation support, practice support, attorneys, paralegals and IT staff of law firms that need an easy and cost-effective way to manage litigation support RFPs. Most have more cost-sensitive clients, rising expenses and an increasingly competitive business environment so our typical client proactively looks for any improvement they can make to help maintain - or increase - their firm's profitability and implement new technology to decrease their clients' costs.

What types of RFP templates are available for litigation support projects?

Detailed RFP templates are available for reprographics, imaging, coding, EDD and trial presentation projects.

Is the file format of i-RFP compatible with the firm's existing hardware and software? What do I need to use i-RFP?

You need a computer with a connection to the Internet. Dial-up speeds work, though a broadband connection such as DSL or cable modem will improve your experience. There is no software to install.

What does your service cost?

Our rates are based on a low, annual subscription. There are no set-up fees, monthly maintenance, training or minimum licenses to buy. Contact us for specific pricing details at support@i-rfp.com.

How is i-RFP licensed?

The site is licensed on an annual, per-subscription basis. Per-subscription licensing means a valid license must be obtained for each "user" that "accesses" the i-RFP site with a username and password. You may access the site from any location and computer with Internet access. A license may not be shared or used concurrently by different people.

I am concerned about Internet security and reliability. How can I be assured that my information is safe?

We take our responsibility very seriously to our clients. Our developing team utilizes secure and reliable tools. Our server scans traffic and determines whether data packets are legitimate or malicious and updates filters regularly to maintain defense against the latest vulnerabilities, viruses and rogue applications. The SSL certificate keeps transactions with your Web site secure. An SSL certificate is a digital certificate that authenticates the identity of a Web site and encrypts information that is sent to the server using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology. Encryption is the process of scrambling data into an undecipherable format that can only be returned to a readable format with the proper decryption key. A certificate serves as an electronic "passport" that establishes an online entity's credentials when doing business on the Web. When an Internet user attempts to send confidential information to a Web server, the user's browser accesses the server's digital certificate and establishes a secure connection.

Can I use i-RFP immediately or is there a long, implementation cycle?

You can start immediately. To get started, you simply create your user profile and indicate your preferred vendors that will receive your RFPs for particular projects. You'll also want to review our quick training options.

How much time will be required to train staff and/or train the trainer at the firm to use i-RFP?

Depending on the level and quantity of questions, training sessions typically last for 20-60 minutes. It is very user-friendly and easy to learn. Training is free to i-RFP subscribers. There are two training options available: 1) A Web-based, instructor-led class that includes a dial-in phone conference, instructional presentation and an interactive question and answer period, or 2) Download a recorded training and review the tutorial at your convenience or as many times as you like.

Why did an employee of i-RFP call to verify my registration with the i-RFP site?

We have a strict registration policy and take your personal information very seriously. So your account must be confirmed by an employee of i-RFP. This is to ensure that our users consistently display a high level of responsibility and integrity in their communication with our "Subscribers." When we have verified your information, your username and email address will be approved to be entered into our database and you will receive an email with your invitation into the i-RFP system to begin submitting RFP projects to your preferred vendors. Most accounts are reviewed and confirmed immediately. If you have any questions or comments with regards to our strict registration policy, please contact us at support@i-rfp.com.

What kind of technical support is available for i-RFP?

You may contact technical support via the main office phone number 610.287.1139 or support@i-rfp.com. Technical support is provided as a benefit of having a current Subscription.
